Transylvanian Romanian Orthodox priest, professor at the Seminary of Arad, deacon, protodiacon, secretary and church referent to Ioan Metianu (Bishop of Arad and then Orthodox Metropolitan of Transylvania and Hungary); In 1899 he became protosinghel and then, in 1902, he was elected Bishop of Arad. On 1 December 1918 he attended the Great National Assembly in Alba Iulia as the representative of his diocese, being the oldest of the Transylvanian bishops.
